Operation SafeHouse

Sometimes the biggest acts of kindness start with one young person deciding to make a difference. 💙

After learning about Operation SafeHouse online and researching the work we do to support youth in crisis, this incredible student from Raney Intermediate School was inspired to take action. With help from friends, family, and her community, she organized a book drive to benefit the youth staying in our shelter and delivered three large boxes of books for our young people to enjoy.

We are so grateful for her compassion, initiative, and generosity. These books will provide comfort, connection, and a much-needed escape for the youth we serve.

Thank you for turning kindness into action and for reminding us that anyone, at any age, can make a meaningful impact. Great job! 📚✨

Executive Director Kendra Tankersley-Davis had the privilege of opening the 47th Soroptimist Desert Coast Region Spring Conference, bringing together a powerful and dedicated group of women committed to supporting and uplifting girls in our communities.

The conference provided an inspiring space to discuss the challenges girls are facing today, and the collective actions we can take to create safer, more equitable, and more supportive environments for them to thrive. These conversations are essential, when we raise awareness, strengthen advocacy, and invest in opportunity, we create lasting impact that extends far beyond individual lives.

We are grateful to stand alongside leaders who are committed to empowerment, collaboration, and meaningful change for girls and women everywhere.
