Today, we had the privilege of speaking at the South Shore Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon alongside fellow members of the South Shore Chamber Disaster Council.

When we say we are “rooted in the community,” this is exactly what we mean. It’s about more than just doing business here; it’s about standing together to protect and strengthen the place we call home.

The Disaster Council was created to foster true collaboration, planning, and awareness so we can best serve our neighbors before, during, and after hurricanes and other local disasters. By bringing together vetted contractors, community leaders, and the public, we are able to:

Share Real Experiences: Looking closely at past storms to openly discuss what worked, what didn't, and how we can do better next time.

Build Trusted Connections: Bridging the gap between residents and reliable, vetted local professionals before a crisis hits.

Educate & Empower: Ensuring our local homeowners have the knowledge, resources, and preparation strategies they need to protect their families and properties.

Disaster preparedness isn't a solo endeavor. It takes a village. We are incredibly proud to serve on this committee and to be a part of what the South Shore Chamber is building.
