Congratulations to all our 2023 recipients of The James Earl Washington Scholarship: Henry Chin, Chamia Pasquier, Leahyana Wallace, Ny'Ajah Jones, Tavaris Nixon and Zaria Hayes.

On behalf of our Pastor, Rev Dr John Williams Jr., the Chairperson of our Scholarship Fund, Bro Raymond Graham, our Scholarship committee and the members of Allen Temple AME Church we pray that this scholarship will bless you. We pray that you will move forward, with grace, along the road to higher education. We pray that you will press on to becoming the best you can be. We pray you will tear down those walls that have been strategically and systematically placed in front of you and reach beyond expectations.

We want to thank all our sponsors and those who have contributed to our scholarship fund and made this event possible. Thank you to our speaker, Rev Berkley Finley, for encouraging our graduates to "Be Committed" and "Stay Committed."

And to the late great Bro James Earl Washington, thank you for leaving a legacy of love for our future generations.

To the Mothers of Allen Temple Riviera Beach and those that worship and praise God with us, I want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day.

To the Grandmothers, Godmothers, Aunties, Sisters, Cousins, Adopted Mothers, Foster Mothers and all the villages who have committed themselves to this awesome position of raising up our future generations.

I pray that God will continue to keep you lifted up. I pray he will continue to cover you and meet your every need. I pray that your children will rise up and call you blessed. I pray that God will give you the wisdom and strength you need to be good stewards over the children he has trusted you with.

May He make your way easy as you navigate through parenthood through the different stages of life. From the cradle to graduation to sending them out into the world with the tools they need to survive. And may God light your path and guide your feet.
