Summer is here, and there's no better time to explore Virginia's incredible state parks! ๐ŸŒž

Since opening in 1936, Douthat has been a favorite destination for outdoor adventure and mountain scenery in Virginia's Alleghany Highlands.
Today, visitors can swim at the beach, fish, or kayak on Douthat Lake, camp under the stars, and explore miles of scenic hiking and biking trails. Making it the perfect summer getaway!

Did you know? Douthat was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the Great Depression. Many of the park's original cabins, trails, and stone structures are still in use today, offering visitors a chance to experience a piece of Virginia history while enjoying the outdoors.

Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to make new memories, there's never been a better time to celebrate 90 years of Douthat State Park

๐Ÿ“ What's your favorite thing to do at Douthat?
