Saw Wilco last night at Chautauqua Institution . An intimate, rainy show with a crowd that appreciated every note.

The Athenaeum was a beautiful, vibey stay. We walked from the Amphitheater and were back in Room 67 within 30 seconds. It felt like Wilco had just played our backyard.

Today we took the long way home: morning walk through Palestine Park (quirky!), Jamestown’s old bones, Mayville and an amazing lunch at Olde Corner Sub Shoppe (plus a feline lunch companion who was all charm as), Lily Dale Assembly, and then through Cassadaga, where I spent plenty of time in 2002-03 while recording at Tarbox Road Studios.

The Fredonia Movieplex photo is for Steve Schiltz Shannon Ferguson Dave Marchese . As I remember it: on our first night at Tarbox, opening night of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, someone locked the keys in the running car.

We watched the movie anyway. Then called the locksmith. 😂❤️

Thank you to all at for having us last week. We were able to play whole bunch of new tunes like “High Five” and “Bless My Soul”. These songs are heading toward the next record.
