⚖️💛 We were grateful to be part of a recent donor event at the Telesca Center for Justice, celebrating a shared commitment to ensuring access to justice for all.

It was inspiring to be surrounded by individuals and organizations who believe that everyone deserves access to legal assistance, advocacy, and support, regardless of their circumstances.

We were also honored to present David Rasmussen with the McKnight Award in recognition of his outstanding volunteer service with our Immigration Unit. David's dedication, compassion, and commitment to serving immigrant clients have made a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are deeply grateful for the impact he continues to make.

JustCause recently hosted a successful Name Change Clinic in partnership with the incredible attorneys from Nixon Peabody LLP, helping 7 clients take an important step toward aligning their legal identity with who they are.

These clinics are about more than paperwork; they help remove barriers, affirm identities, and increase access to justice for members of our community.

We are deeply grateful to the Nixon Peabody volunteers who generously shared their time and expertise, and to everyone who helped make this clinic possible. When legal professionals and community partners come together, we can create meaningful change and expand access to critical legal services.

This year marks a very special milestone—the 45th Anniversary of JustCause! For 45 years, we have worked alongside volunteers, community partners, and advocates to expand access to justice and support our neighbors when they need it most.

To celebrate this occasion and recognize the outstanding pro bono contributions of our local legal community, Chief Judge Rowan Wilson will speak and present awards at a special ceremony on Tuesday, September 22, at 1:00 PM at the Monroe County Hall of Justice.

We are honored to celebrate the individuals and organizations whose commitment to pro bono service helps make justice more accessible throughout our community.

💛 JustCause was proud to participate in this year’s United Way Day of Caring at Jennifer House!

Jennifer House is a transitional housing program supporting women rebuilding their lives after incarceration and homelessness, and we were honored to spend the day helping refresh and care for this important space. Our team pitched in with yard work, organizing shared spaces, painting, cleaning, seasonal tidying, and more, all in the spirit of community and collaboration.

From planting flowers to brightening common areas, every effort helped create a more welcoming and supportive environment for the women who call Jennifer House home. 🌼🏡

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to come together, give back, and support organizations doing such meaningful work in our community. 🤝
