It's time for the weekly announcements and events!
Hey, friends! Spring is here! So is the new season of anime! Let's go watch some banger shows together!
If you're new here this semester, and would like to sign up for a membership, here's how you can!
What does membership in our club get you?
Access to our Anime Club Library filled to the brim with manga, DVD's, and Blu-rays; chances to win weekly and monthly raffles; a discounted price to Tora-Con; the ability to vote and run for E-Board; and an awesome RIT Anime Club ID card with your name on it!
How do you get a membership? It's simple!

Anime of the Decade
We're bringing back the RIT Anime Club Awards with some huge twists this year! This year you guys can nominate your favorite anime! And this does not just include anime that aired this past year, but this past decade! That's right! Anything from the 2010's! Plus you don't have to be a current RIT Anime Club member to nominate!
So if you want to get straight to nominating go to this Google form, fill out some information, and then tell us what anime you'd like to nominate for Anime of the Decade! If you have any questions just ask in the questions and feedback channel in our Discord!

Monthly Library Theme: Gamer
Hey, fellow gamers! The library theme for the month of March is Gamer or Gaming! Rent out a manga or anime from our library with a gaming theme or any scene that includes a video game and get a ticket for a raffle!
We are now extending our raffles over a few months! This means February's and March's tickets will go together into one raffle. This means you'll get more opportunities to win and now the prizes will be BIGGER and BETTER!!

RIT Anime Club E-Board Elections!
It's that time of the year! It's time to nominate and soon vote for the E-Board positions!
Here are the E-Board positions that club members can go for:
Treasurer, Secretary, Publicist, Librarian, Facilities Coordinator, and Business Liaison
How do you start? First, you have to be a student of RIT, with a paid membership to the RIT Anime Club, and be in good standing with the club. Second, get yourself another person to nominate you as a board position. This person will have to send an email to the club advisor stating that they are nominating you. And lastly, you will have to come up with a speech that you will present to the rest of the club on why you should be an E-Board member.

The deadline for Anime of the Decade submissions is coming up soon, take this chance to tell the club why 1, 2, or 700 series are worthy of a spot on everyone's list. Share your favorites or discover something you missed!
You can bring a slideshow, you can bring a video, you can perform an interpretive dance, do whatever you can (within reason) to shill but you only get 5 minutes

Hey, club members! We're having our monthly Library Themes again this semester and we're starting with the theme of Romance! Rent out any manga, DVD, or Blu-Ray with romance (any at all) and you'll get a raffle ticket for our raffle at the end of the month!
