Anandibai Joshee, who became India’s first female physician, announced her intention to study medicine in the United States on February 24. 1883. Dr. Joshee attended Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania with a focus in gynecology and obstetrics, graduating in 1886.

62 of our current medical students were born outside of the United States. We are proud to have all of you here learning to be the best doctors you can be for your communities.

Exciting updates from our Simulation Department! Our leader, Dr. Kimberly Buholtz had 2 presentations accepted to the International Meeting of Simulation in Healthcare! In addition to giving her presentations, she spent four days learning about recent innovations in healthcare science and is looking forward to incorporating these into our curriculum.
