Today has become a day where we celebrate how far women have come in society, in politics, and in economics.

In my eyes one of the driving factors of this movement is the way that women support one another. Supporting each other can mean and be so many different things.

Last night I got home from a long week of driving for work meetings. I started going through the mail when I came across an envelope from one of my friends. Inside was the absolute sweetest card and a Starbucks gift card. The note said, “was thinking of you this week and wanted to send you a little treat...enjoy!” It was so unexpected and so incredibly thoughtful.

We can sometimes get bogged down with the craziness of life and “being so busy.” This kind gesture from my friend reminded me of what truly matters in life. Its not my birthday. It’s not my anniversary. I didn’t have any major life event happen this past month. My friend was simply thinking of me. It’s the little ways we can support each other that mean so much. I’m so fortunate to have a great tribe of friends in my life.

Be thankful for your girl gang. It’s a special time for us. Let’s continue to support one another - our possibilities are endless.
