The community came together Tuesday night to honor the life of Axel Hernandez on what would have been his 5th birthday. Loved ones released butterflies, planted a tree, and collected donations for children in need.
Axel was killed in a murder-suicide in Greece earlier this year.
His mother continues to push for “Axel’s Law,” which would allow for better intervention in cases involving children by permitting precautionary removals, mental health evaluations, and expedited court reviews.
