Last week our chapter toured the URMC Jobsite featuring a cooling tower replacement for the University of Rochester. The John W Danforth Company and LeChase Construction gave us such an informative tour, explained the intricacies of the preplanning and the difficulties and challenges faced all throughout the project. Thank you to the team for making this tour such a success!

Our May meeting will feature a jobsite tour hosted by LeChase Construction and John W Danforth, showcasing the cooling tower replacement project at URMC.
Please note that this is an active construction site. Closed-toe shoes are required, and sturdy work boots are strongly recommended. PPE, including a hard hat and safety glasses, is required for all attendees. Hard hats and safety glasses can be provided.
Parking will be at 1250 Scottsville Road. From there, we will carpool to the site due to limited access.

Our June meeting will celebrate our 2026 Pat Hynes Memorial Scholarship recipients at Kings Bend Park! Join us as we recognize these outstanding women and their achievements.
We are still accepting applications for our scholarships, including opportunities for women entering a school program as well as those pursuing careers in the trades. The application deadline is May 1st—don’t miss out!

Last night, Fw Webb hosted us at their office and facility for an incredible tour. We had the opportunity to explore both their expansive warehouse and their retail store, which is open to the public for home improvement projects. The size of the facility was truly impressive, and it’s great to know there are such valuable resources available for future projects. Thank you, FW Webb, for having us and for the free swag!
