The second of a series of illustrations done for Any Other Place by Jory Berkley. Jory is an amazing artist, illustrator, and contributor to the AOP collective.

I need to vent: Tonight... while walking home from the bar I found a giant pile of what appeared to be trash, large enough to fill at least 15 feet of sidewalk. I was immediately intrigued as I often find interesting objects for photographs and furniture making in Americas wasteful nature.... But as I inspected closer I realized I had stumbled onto something so much more dark, sinister, and unforgivable.... I found myself routing through someones life... photo albums, saved newspaper clippings, unused kitchen pantry items... It became clear to me immediately what had happened and how this human life had so easily been discarded. I saved what I could, loaded my arms full of photo albums and scrapbooks, a bronzed shoe, and a box of momentos.... Who could throw these things away as if they did not matter?... pushed to the curb, forgotten and unwanted... Soon I will scan what I have found... This legacy will not be forgotten....
