Happy Birthday to the United States Army, established June 14, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress authorized the creation of the Continental Army during the early days of the American Revolution.

From those first battles for independence to today’s missions around the world, the Army’s history is built on courage and sacrifice. Generations of soldiers have served with honor, shaping and defending the nation through every era. Today we recognize its long legacy and all who have worn the uniform in service to the United States.

Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that our freedom as Americans has been secured by the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Today, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and remember the families who carry their legacy forward. Freedom is not free.

Every day, you respond to difficult calls with professionalism and courage, stepping into critical situations without hesitation to provide care when every second matters.
