Sometimes the smallest rooms create the biggest wow factor.

This powder bathroom started as a typical builder-grade space with honey maple cabinetry, a standard cultured marble vanity, and little to distinguish it from countless others.

The vision was to create a space that felt rich, sophisticated, and completely unexpected the moment you opened the door.

We wrapped the room in glossy black subway tile, creating a dramatic backdrop that instantly elevates the entire space. Above, deep charcoal walls envelop the room, adding warmth and depth while allowing every finish to stand out. Rather than stopping the tile at the vanity, it continues throughout the room, giving this compact footprint a custom, thoughtfully layered feel.

The custom vanity was designed to soften the strong architectural lines. Warm wood grain introduces natural texture, while curved open shelving creates an inviting place to display greenery and decorative accents. Topped with quartz featuring soft, flowing veining, the vanity balances the room’s darker finishes with a fresh, timeless brightness.

Every detail was selected to feel intentional. Brushed brass plumbing fixtures and lighting add warmth against the moody palette, while ribbed glass sconces bring both sculptural beauty and a soft, welcoming glow. A slim brass-framed mirror reflects light throughout the room, making the space feel larger while complementing the clean, modern lines of the design.

Above the toilet, floating wood shelves transform an otherwise overlooked wall into a styled focal point, proving that storage can be just as beautiful as it is functional.

The result is a powder bathroom that feels layered, dramatic, and filled with thoughtful details.
