"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God." John 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth... and God said let there be light2…" Genesis 1:1,3
The similarities between these two passages shows that Jesus is God (the Son) incarnate, He is God’s word, in action. Jesus was there from the beginning with God and was God. But Jesus decided to DO rather than just BE. "For He who knew NO sin BECAME sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Cor 5:21
So now what we are left with is an inequal transaction. Righteousness becomes sin and in turn sin can now become righteousness of God.
So how does sin become righteousness of God? Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross first and foremost. And how does sin (i.e., us) show and express that righteousness to the world and those around us? By becoming the action of God, the same way Christ did when he "Who, being in the very nature of God, did not consider EQUALITY WITH GOD something to be used to his own advantage; rather he MADE HIMSELF NOTHING by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." (Phil. 2:6)
Christ became a SERVANT. We are made with a purpose, the most important purpose: to SERVE!
Firstly, to serve God: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." And secondly is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-31 FINISH DEVOTIONAL IN THE COMMENTS***

Do you have trust issues? Do you find yourself doubting your loved ones, friends, or spouses? Regardless of your past experiences, past abandonment or unfaithfulness, there is a solution to these trust issues!
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” – 1 John 4:18.
The solution is: Perfect LOVE. This love is not the love you find in your parents, spouse, child, family, or pet. This love only comes from God. God is the perfect Love you have been looking for. Once you know perfect love you can then love others in the same way that God has loved you. You will no longer be scared to love full heartedly. You will understand that regardless if the person you love disappoints you, you are already loved unconditionally by the creator of the universe that will NEVER disappoint you. This gives you assurance that you are valued, that you are cared for, and that gives you no reason to fear.
Matthew 9:26-27 tells us “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” If you find yourself worrying and living in constant fear, I urge you to seek for this perfect love that is found in God. You will find value in your life and come to understand that there is no reason to fear or worry because you have God on your side taking care of every single aspect of your life! Your health, your loved ones, your relationships, and your identity will all fall into place, because God loves you and cares for you.
God’s love for you is so intense and perfect that “He gave His one and only son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” – John 3:16-17. The world is already condemned and lost in sin, but God has loved us so intensely that He sent His son to die and be sacrificed for all those sins and insecurities that we may find everlasting life and love in Him.

Jesus Wept. John 11:1-44

A man named Lazarus. A man who Jesus loved. Brother of Mary and Martha was deathly ill. Although Jesus loved Lazarus, he did not intend to heal him. Instead, Jesus waited two days to tell his disciples they were to head back, meanwhile giving them the news that Lazarus was already dead. Jesus knew the entire time that Lazarus would live and that He will resurrect him for the glory of God. Still when Jesus arrives and finds Mary, Martha and the other Jews in mourning Jesus was “deeply moved in spirit and troubled” and the bible says, “Jesus wept.” (v. 35)
See, Jesus had just finished telling Martha “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me though he were dead, yet shall he live.” (v. 25) And still it never even crossed her mind that Lazarus would be raised from the dead. That is how lost and hopeless the world was. Christ himself, the Messiah was in front of their eyes, telling them he could resurrect him and all they could think was “if only you had gotten here sooner”. Because before Christ, there was no hope after death. Death was the end. Christ saw the desolation and despair death brought and he wept.
Christ sees your loneliness, He sees your fears, your hopelessness, and He weeps for you. As he weeps, he calls you by your name and calls you to rise out of that tomb you are in. He wants to resurrect you in Spirit and in Truth and bring you life, and life in abundance, for eternity.
As for the church: this world is getting worse and worse and drifting further and further away from Christ. They are still lost with no hope. Yet we, his bride, are here. We are called to bring hope into this world by pointing them to Christ. So, if we just believe, we will see the glory of God (v. 40).
