One trend I've noticed recently isn't a new font, color, or design style; it's simplicity.

Across industries, clients are asking for cleaner social graphics, more whitespace, and layouts that feel easier to scan.

And honestly, I think that's a good thing.

People are overwhelmed with information. The businesses standing out right now often aren't the loudest; they're the clearest.

If creating content feels time-consuming or visually inconsistent, a custom Canva template pack can make a huge difference.

Instead of reinventing every post, you start with layouts designed specifically for your brand.

The result:
• faster content creation
• more consistency
• less decision fatigue
• a cleaner overall presence

Sometimes the best design decision is simply removing what's unnecessary.

P.S. If your social media graphics are starting to feel cluttered or inconsistent, this is exactly the type of problem a custom template pack is designed to solve.

Not every project starts with a full website, ebook, or marketing package. Sometimes it starts with a single ad.

This Meta ad was created as a small test project, delivered in all four required ad sizes, to help a client determine whether I'd be a good fit to work together on future projects.

I completely understand that hiring a designer can feel like a big commitment, especially if you've had disappointing experiences in the past or are working with someone new for the first time.

That's why I'm always happy to start small when it makes sense.

A sample project allows both of us to get a feel for the working relationship, communication style, and design approach before moving on to larger projects.

Grateful for kind feedback like this and for the opportunity to earn a client's trust one project at a time.

A recent client came to me after working with a designer who delivered fully AI-generated graphics.

The truth: Most business owners aren't hiring a designer because they want a quick image generated. They're hiring a designer because they want someone to thoughtfully create something for their business—and something they can continue using after the project is complete.

I use AI in my workflow where it makes sense. It can streamline certain tasks, help create animations, and make some creative processes more efficient.

But every project I deliver is still shaped by human design decisions and delivered fully editable in Canva.

I'm always grateful for opportunities to partner with churches through design. It is especially meaningful to me because E. Hopkins Creative is one way that I help support my family and the work God is doing through our own church plant.

Every project allows me to use the skills and experience God has given me to serve other ministries while also helping sustain the ministry our family is invested in each week. It's a privilege to come alongside churches in this way, and I'm thankful for every opportunity to do so.

Before I begin designing any project, I get organized and get a clear picture of my client’s vision.

Not every design project needs to be elaborate to be effective.

This handout was intentionally created to feel clean, simple, and easy for students to use — with plenty of space to write, minimal distractions, and subtle brand alignment throughout. No cover page, no extra elements… just thoughtful design that supports the purpose of the resource.

One of my favorite client responses lately:
“It looks perfectly simple! Thank you!!” 🙂

Sometimes the best design decision is knowing when to keep things beautifully uncomplicated.

A lot of business owners wait to hire a designer because they think they need everything perfectly figured out first.

Usually, they’re much closer than they realize.

Many projects simply need refinement, consistency, and a more intentional presentation — not a total restart.

One of the things I love most about long-term client projects is helping bring the entire vision together — not just one piece of it.

After designing this client’s digital product, I also created the Etsy listing images to help present the product in a polished, cohesive, and visually compelling way.

From lead magnets and ebooks to listing graphics and Squarespace landing pages, I enjoy helping clients create a complete brand experience that feels aligned from start to finish. ✨

Seeing all the pieces work together strategically and visually is always one of the most rewarding parts of the process.

Sometimes a client already knows exactly the type of visual they need — the challenge is turning that inspiration into something cohesive, polished, and fully aligned with their own brand.

For this project, we recreated the structure and functionality of an aroma + tasting wheel in the client’s custom brand colors and style, giving it a look that felt consistent with the rest of her visual identity.

And yes… this was built in Canva. 😄
(With a little strategic problem-solving behind the scenes — including using chart proportions to create perfectly sized wheel segments beneath each wedge.)

Design projects are often equal parts creativity and figuring out how to make an idea technically work well.
