Last week’s Supreme Court decision, which allows discrimination against trans athletes, is the latest outrageous, heartbreaking setback among the many that trans people have faced in recent years.

We stand shoulder to shoulder with our trans and gender nonconforming skaters, officials, and community members. Our league is stronger for their presence, and they will always be an indelible part of Free State. We will continue building an inclusive, supportive space where trans athletes feel safe and welcome. Work that is all the more vital when the world around us grows a shade darker.

NOVA Roller Derby will always fully support trans athletes.

You belong here. You deserve a safe place to compete, and so much more.
