The OverComer

We often approach change carrying the weight of effort, believing that if we just try harder, we’ll finally get it right. The problem with that mindset is simple: we are putting all of our trust in ourselves instead of trusting God to do what only He can do. The real work happens in the heart, and our actions are simply the fruit.

When we place our lives in His hands, He begins reshaping our desires from the inside out. He doesn’t just restrain sin, He replaces it. Old cravings lose their power while new affections take root. As we grow closer to Him, what once pulled us away starts to lose its grip, not because of our own strength, but because of His.

True freedom isn’t found in striving, but in surrender. We don’t overcome sin by effort, but by letting Jesus transform our hearts so our lives naturally follow.
