Pretty cool to see how far Sip Happens Coffee has come. I was lucky enough to be there for their very first customer, and now they’re hosting Rogers Comprehensive Plan Coffee & Conversation and bringing the community together.
They’ve always been kind, welcoming, and genuinely care about Rogers. They’re so much more than a coffee shop❤️ They’re a place where people connect, conversations happen, and our community grows.
☕️ Also, from July 24 through August 11, if you stop by after voting in the primary election and show your “I Voted” sticker, you’ll get 20% off the newly named “The Joey Rodriguez” 🤠 A delicious Smoked Bourbon Latte. I hope you’ll give it a try, and thank you to Sip Happens Coffee for supporting civic engagement and our Rogers community! 📢UPDATE📢 Below the Advisory Details- As of 5PM
DRINKING WATER - BOIL WATER ADVISORY
Maple Plain water may be contaminated due to loss of pressure.
What should you do?
Do not drink water before boiling it or use a safe alternative source.
Bring all water to a full, rolling boil, let it boil for one minute or longer, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in water.
A safe alternative source includes bottled water.
After the system has restored pressure and lifted the advisory, its recommended consumers flush their building plumbing systems.
What may be the health effects?
Inadequately treated water may contain disease-causing organisms. These organisms include bacteria, viruses, and parasites which can cause symptoms such as nausea, cramps, diarrhea, and associated headaches.
Symptoms above are not caused only by organisms in drinking water. If you experience any of these symptoms and they persist, it is recommended you seek medical advice. People at increased risk should seek advice from their health care providers about drinking water.
What happened? What is being done?
On 07/11/26 we experienced a loss of pressure in our water system due to a communication failure between the Water Tower and Water Treatment Plant . A loss of water pressure means that contamination could have entered our drinking water distribution system. There is an increased chance that drinking water may contain bacteria that could make you sick. The affected area includes the City of Maple Plain including homes East of Maple Plain that are connected to the City of Maple Plain water system. We are taking the following steps to correct the problem: the communication between the Tower and Treatment Plant is being restored, the water tower will be replenished and water flow to the City will be restored. Water samples will be taken and tested as soon as possible. We will let you know when tests show the water is safe to drink and you no longer need to boil your water. We expect to restore water flow by noon (12:00PM) on 07/11/2026. The water results are expected to be available by mid-week.
Please share this information with other people who drink this water and who may not have received this notice directly (people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, businesses, etc.). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.

Officer Eldred would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the citizens who spent part of their day driving around Maple Plain looking for possible water main breaks, stopping to say hello, and making sure the issue had been reported. Your willingness to help, check in on your community, and offer assistance is greatly appreciated. It is just another example of what makes Maple Plain such a great community.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. City staff worked diligently today to collect the required water samples, and those samples have already been submitted to a certified laboratory for testing. Laboratory analysis typically takes 16–24 hours to complete. Best-case scenario, we expect to have an update tomorrow afternoon or evening regarding whether the Boil Water Advisory can be lifted or if it will need to remain in effect. We will share updates with the community as soon as the test results are received and reviewed.
