Day 4 – Part 3 | Peru 🇵🇪 Mission Feb ’26 – The Experience 😬🙏🏼
We delivered the rice and sugar to the Esmirna church in the village, and it was received with such gratitude and joy. The pastors shared it with many of the beautiful local families, and the atmosphere was filled with smiles, thankfulness, and blessing.
Before we began our journey home, they made sure—just as they always do—to fill our stomachs and our hearts with homemade chicken soup. ❤️
The indigenous people of Parinari will forever remain in our hearts. 🇵🇪✨

Day 4 – Part 1 | Peru 🇵🇪 Mission Feb ’26 – The Journey! 😬🙏🏼
WHAT. A. DAY.
Today we purchased 8 bags of rice (100 lbs each) and 4 bags of sugar (100 lbs each) to take into the village. After loading everything up, we departed Yurimaguas by river taxi and began the journey to Parinari.
Parinari is a remote river village deep in the Amazon region of northeastern Peru. It sits along the Marañón River and is only accessible by boat, followed by ground transportation, surrounded by dense jungle and small communities scattered along the waterways. Life here revolves around the river—fishing, farming, travel, and daily survival all depend on it. Resources are limited, infrastructure is minimal, but the people are incredibly rich in hospitality, resilience, and openness to God. In places like this—far from convenience and comfort—the presence of God feels especially near, and the hunger for hope, healing, and truth is unmistakable. 🌿🇵🇪🔥
With so many pictures from today, I’m breaking this day into multiple posts.
This one is all about the journey to and from Parinari.
It was filled with prayer moments—especially one main prayer: “Lord, no rain.” 🌧️
And praise God, it didn’t rain until we were already covered in the river taxi and almost back to Yurimaguas.
Grateful. Humbled. Expectant. 🙏🏼

Day 3 - Peru 🇵🇪 Feb 2026 Missions
After a 4 hour trip over the mountains we arrived in our next ministry location, Yurimaquas Peru.
Yurimaguas is a vibrant river city in the Peruvian Amazon, known as the gateway between the Andes and the jungle. Sitting along the Huallaga River, it’s a hub of culture, trade, and missions—where the warmth of the people matches the beauty of the rainforest. Grateful to be in a place where God is clearly moving and hearts are wide open. 🌿🔥
We ministered in one of our Esmirna Iglesias churches we have supported for several years and the pastors are always so welcoming.
Mathew Craig and Jerry Gano both shared and did amazing and set the stage for an incredible altar and prayer time. God is always good! 🤍🙌🏼

Our missions team landed in Tarapoto yesterday morning and we were greeted at the airport by our friends waving. After a few hours of getting into our hotel and resting, we ended the day ministering at a church outside of Tarapoto in a small village called Juan Guerra.
Juan Guerra is a small rural district and village in the San Martín region of northeastern Peru, located about 8 miles south of Tarapoto. Set in the Amazon foothills, Juan Guerra is a quiet agricultural community where daily life centers around farming, family, and faith, with crops like rice, cassava, and plantains supporting the local economy. The village has deep historical roots tied to early settlers and carries a strong sense of tradition, expressed through community festivals, Catholic celebrations, and close-knit relationships. Though small and humble, Juan Guerra reflects the resilient spirit of rural Peru—simple in structure, rich in culture, and deeply connected to the land and its people.
Rachel shared her amazing story of Gods grace and Pastor David preached “Rebuilding The Roof”. Many came down for prayer and our team didn’t hesitate to begin praying for everyone that came down. God did a great work and it’s only the first day!!!
