When parents think about kindergarten readiness, they often think about letters, numbers, and early literacy skills. While those skills certainly matter, research consistently shows that social-emotional development is equally predictive of long-term academic success.

At Ivybrook Academy, social-emotional learning is not a separate subject on the schedule. It's in everything we do. Group projects, collaborative play, and guided conflict resolution all give children daily practice in empathy, self-regulation, and communication.

By the time our students leave Ivybrook, they are academically and emotionally prepared for what comes next.

Our Ivybrook Summer Camps are filling quickly, and most weeks now have limited availability or are fully booked. Each week is thoughtfully designed around hands-on exploration, creativity, movement, science, art, storytelling, and outdoor discovery for children ages 2-6. 🌿

Today is a very special day as we celebrate our 2026 preschool graduates and all they have accomplished during their time at Ivybrook.

They have learned how to be part of a classroom community, how to solve problems, how to care for one another, and how to find joy in learning. Most importantly, we hope that they have learned that they are capable, loved, and full of potential.

As they move on to the next adventure, whether that is kindergarten here with us or a new school—they carry with them a strong foundation built on love and learning.

To our families, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift. Thank you for partnering with us, supporting us, and allowing us to be part of your child’s early story. It has truly been an honor.

And to our teachers, thank you for the patience, care, and dedication you pour into every child every day. This celebration reflects your heart and your work.

Graduates keep asking questions (especially with your parents over the summer), keep trying new things (as my daughter Kyle likes to say, “your changebuds can taste"), and never stop loving learning!
