A new 84” chassis-cab flatbed option is here! Shown above are some photos of our new flatbed design, meant to work with any make & model of 84” CA medium-duty truck. This bed is design to allow for maximum storage, without sacrificing deck space. So up front we have two fender boxes and in the rear there is a large full-width recessed deck box. This allows for tons more tool & gear storage under the deck. And as with most of our chassis-cab options, we’ve also added integral gooseneck & rear hitches. On top of offering over 100 sets of DIY truck bed build plans, we also offer plans for welding skids too! Here are some photos of the newest addition to our lineup. This skid is purpose build to turn your flatbed (new or old) into a full-on welding rig! It features tons of onboard storage and can run a variety of different sized machines. In the front, there is a large tool box that hosts four 26”L X 17”W X 5” tool drawers. On top of that is self space for any of your larger equipment. Immediately behind the tool box is a bottle holder, designed to lock in up to 3 full sized oxygen/argon bottles, as well as an acetylene bottle holder behind that. Then we have a 22”W X 60”L welder bay, which can be increased to 32”W if the optional smaller tool box isn’t used. But if you have the space for it, on the very end of the skid there is a 59”L X 10”W X 12”H tool box that is perfect for storing your longer gear, like an umbrella. And all of this sits on a frame that has both forklift & pallet jack pockets, so it can easily be loaded and unloaded from the truck, then dollied around the shop.
