I finally got to make myself a palm thimble.

I have wanted one for a long time, & now I have one!! 💖

I'm super pleased with how it turned out & it wasn't too difficult.

Now I can get a needle through some of my sewing projects much easier!

Looking forward to getting to use it. 😁

Day 30

It is always fascinating when a project goes "off the rails" from what you had intended/expected it to be.

It can definitely be difficult to deal with sometimes.

It certainly was with this one today.

I made one "mistake" after another, & had to decide what was more important; getting it "right" (aka "perfect") or letting it be (aka being "just right" for it).

I could've scraped it & started over, or I could just say "oh well" 🤷 & follow where it leads me.

I chose the latter & I am grateful for it, because I honestly think it turned out better than what I was imagining it would anyway.

We can apply this to so many other areas of our lives too, if we just stop focusing on the "mistakes" & start focusing on how we handle them & work them into what comes after.

We can let it make something worse.

Or we can let it make something better.

You decide.

So I hope today that you decide to let it lead you to better things than you can imagine currently.

And may we learn to recognize these blessings in disguise. ☺️❤️💙

Day 25

Haha!!

I got today's mandala done early!

This one was so simple & easy to do.

The hardest part was coloring in those tiny dots without messing them up big time! 😬

But I managed it & it looks super cool.

Now off to do other things for the day! 😄

Day 24

Well, I'm not too sure what to say about this one.

The initial shape came together quickly & easily, but it was a complete struggle to figure out what to do with it from there.

I would ponder it for awhile, then go do other things, then come back & ponder some more.

I did this for about half of the day before figuring out what it wanted to be.

Some projects are like that. They want to be what they want to be, & it is best for all involved to follow their lead.

It can be frustrating for sure, but the reward is usually worth the trouble.

I think this turned out rather awesomely, if I do say so myself. 😎

And I do say so!!! 😄

But I'm exhausted now, so I'm off to get some sleep. 💤 See you tomorrow!!
