Suburban spot makes Yelp list for serving up one specific ‘outrageous sandwich'

When I opened Gus’ Diner in 08 in addition to serving great food my mission was to create a restaurant environment that made everyone feel like family. And as you are all very special to me, I wanted to let you know that after fourteen years of business I decided to close the diner today.

The last three years have been one hell of a ride and though this time is bittersweet, I’m glad to say that I accomplished what I initially set out to do. We’ve shared so many great times together whether they were through laughter or tears. And though so many of you walked in as strangers, you became part of my family and I want to thank you for all of your support throughout the years.

Some might say that this is my goodbye but I don’t see goodbyes as an end. Rather, a pause or continuation before a new chapter. And I do hope that I will see you all again in the future!
