The first day of summer is here! Rome & Floyd County are home to many iconic landmarks… but there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered, too!

On Berry College’s beautiful campus, you can find the House of Dreams and Old Mill Wheel, two hidden gems that give you a glimpse into Rome’s history.

Your next stop is Moon Gallery where you can explore works of art and attend workshops. For more creative inspiration, visit the Labyrinth of Rome, a historical landmark where you can calm your mind.

Last but not least, the ECO Center offers a place for people of all ages to learn about local ecosystems through self-guided tours and events.

Rome Is... community around every corner. 💙
This week, we're seeing Rome through Brandi's eyes.
Her weekend started with plant bingo at Bluem, where she added some new greenery to her collection, followed by a free concert at the Town Green hosted by the We Care Vet Fair. She also spent some time at River Remedy Brewing, caught part of the Stanley Cup Finals, and ran into friends along the way.
After attending the veterans' resource fair, she and her brother headed to the VFW for bingo. While Brandi didn't take home the prize, her brother was the lucky winner of the $1,000 jackpot!
Saturday started with coffee from Laurel Leaf Coffee and a trip to the Farmers Market at Ridge Ferry Park for fresh fruits, vegetables, and bread. After running a few errands, she enjoyed a relaxing afternoon by the pool.
On Sunday, she attended church, treated herself to a massage at Healing Hands Massage, met up with family for lunch at Mellow Mushroom, and finished the day with a walk on the Advent trail system with her kids.
From live music and local events to fresh coffee, family time, and unexpected jackpot winners, Brandi's weekend is a great reminder that there is always something to enjoy in Rome.
"So thankful to live in this community with sweet relationships and so many things that make life enjoyable."
