The Army is offering promotion incentives to Soldiers who refer individuals to their local recruiting station.

The Soldier Referral Program incentivizes current Soldiers to share their experiences with high quality candidates, educating and inspiring them about the benefits of Army service.

The SRP authorizes promotions for soldiers in the ranks of Private, Private First Class, and Specialist whose referral enlists and ships to basic training. These Soldiers also receive the Recruiting Ribbon. They may only earn one promotion but can earn up to four Recruiting Ribbons.

Known as Baltimore's oldest holiday, Defenders' Day commemorates the anniversary of the successful defense of Baltimore in 1814 and the writing of the nation's national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner." Join the Baltimore Recruiting Battalion on September 19 at 6pm this Defenders' Day as we swear-in a group of new Soldiers into the U.S. Army. This takes place on Ft. McHenry in Baltimore, MD.
