JOIN ALEX FOR CLASS TONIGHT 💫
Alex is a Georgia native who began her practice in 2012. She believes yoga found her at the perfect time: when she didn’t know she needed it. She was initially drawn to the graceful yet strong physical practice, but very quickly learned there’s much more to yoga. Her practice became her safe haven for releasing her mind and focusing on the Truth in her life. Alex completed her 200 hr YTT at Lift yoga in 2019. With a desire to empower every student to know their own inner strength, Alex teaches her classes with uplifting energy and unconditional faith in her students.

Alex recently answered to calling to work more specifically with birthing people and families in her community, and is a Certified Intentionally Embodied Birth Coach, teaching prenatal yoga and supporting as a birth doula.

Join her every Thursday in Sandy Springs for Prenatal Flow at 6:30-7:45pm. Link in bio for class schedule!

If we can step outside of our own beliefs and personal experiences, I hope that we can see the multitude of human experiences that co-exist.

In a country that insists on medical coercion and control for profit and oppression, it is no surprise that one group of people and there beliefs are making deadly choices for everyone else.

Women are dying at alarming rates from child birth related complications in the US, we tout the highest maternal mortality rate in all industrialized nations. And Black women are taking the brunt of that blow.

I will continue to stand behind choice, medical choice, bodily autonomy, and the destruction of shaming or coercing any human into any experience, especially one as complex and devalued as pregnancy.

Did you know that the leading cause of death for pregnant women is murder?

Did you know that 25% birthers return to work after just two weeks postpartum?

Did you know how fu***ng hard it is to be pregnant, birth, and raise children in the US? Not just for the poor and working class, but for upper middle class families as well.

So once again, our reproductive rights are written by those who will never experience what it’s is to reproduce. Policy written on beliefs is deeply dangerous, not just for birthers, but for the babies born through forced pregnancy.

I stand with womxn.
I stand for choice.
I stand for bodily autonomy.
I stand for medical autonomy.

This will not stand. Our communities must come together now.
