Brrrrr…. it’s been quite chilly these past few days here in Rotterdam ☃️

…and just when you thought it couldn’t get any colder, experts are reporting record low temperatures for Upstate NY and issuing *Cold Weather Safety Alerts*🚨❄️🚨

With below freezing temperatures expected, Rotterdam EMS wants to remind residents to stay warm and be aware of the risks of hypothermia and frostbite 🥶

This past weekend, members of our crew had the most amazing time volunteering at The Salvation Army USA Angel Tree Christmas Donation event!🎖️🎄🪽💝

We are so grateful to be a part of such a heartwarming event that reflects the importance of giving back to the community, and the beauty that lies within helping those who truly need it—values that we at REMS strive to achieve both on and off the ambulance. 💙❤️🚑

In addition to our agency staff being able collect and donate presents for almost 30 children, members of our staff were also eager to volunteer at the event itself, where presents were distributed to about 200 children!🎅🎁

Thank you to the Salvation Army for allowing us to be a part of such a special occasion that truly reflects the goodness within the community—and thank you to our staff who dedicate their service to making a difference, both at the front-line, and behind the scenes. 🫶🏻💝🚨
