Texas Governor Recognizes Water Safety Month, and Waterview Swim Is Deeply Honored

Waterview Swim School is proud and deeply humbled to receive a proclamation from Texas Governor Greg Abbott recognizing Water Safety Month.

For our small swim school in Rowlett, Texas, this means more than words on paper. It is a reminder that water safety is not just a seasonal topic. It is a life saving mission.

Every child, every teen, and every adult who comes to Waterview Swim matters to us. Their life matters. Their future matters. Their confidence, safety, and ability to enjoy the water without fear matters. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to live a full, happy, and healthy life, and learning to swim is one important part of protecting that future.

Our hearts were broken by the news last year involving Camp Mystic and by the drowning tragedies that happen every day across Texas, across the country, and around the world. Behind every drowning statistic is a person, a family, a story, and a future that should have continued.

That is why Waterview Swim exists.

Our mission is to help stop preventable drownings by teaching real water safety, building confidence, and helping swimmers of all ages learn the skills they need to be safer in and around the water. Whether we are working with a young child, a nervous beginner, a teen, or an adult who never had the chance to learn, we treat every lesson as meaningful because every life is precious.

We are thankful to Governor Abbott and the State of Texas for recognizing Water Safety Month and helping bring attention to the importance of drowning prevention, swim education, and safer communities.

We are also thankful to the families who have trusted our little swim school. Your trust means everything to us.

As we begin Water Safety Month, we renew our commitment to this mission: to teach, to encourage, to protect, and to do our part to help every person become safer and more confident in the water.

**Texas Governor Recognizes Water Safety Month, and Waterview Swim Is Honored**

Waterview Swim is honored to share some exciting news with our families, friends, and the Rowlett community.

We are proud to announce that Waterview Swim School will be receiving an official letter from Texas Governor Greg Abbott recognizing **Water Safety Month**, which begins in May.

For our little swim school here in Rowlett, Texas, this is incredibly meaningful. Waterview Swim was built with one mission in mind: to help children, teens, and adults become safer, more confident swimmers through private, one-on-one swim lessons.

Every year, as summer approaches, water safety becomes more important for families across Rowlett, Rockwall, Garland, Sachse, Wylie, Heath, Fate, Forney, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, and the greater DFW area. Pools, lakes, boats, vacations, and backyard gatherings are a big part of life in Texas, and learning to swim is one of the most important life skills a person can have.

We are deeply thankful to Governor Abbott and Office of the Governor Greg Abbott for recognizing the importance of Water Safety Month and for supporting awareness around drowning prevention, swim education, and safer communities.

This proclamation is not just an honor for Waterview Swim. It is a reminder of why we do what we do.

At Waterview Swim, we believe swim lessons are about more than strokes and technique. They are about confidence, safety, preparation, and peace of mind for families. Whether we are teaching a child to swim across the pool, helping a teen improve their skills, or working with an adult who never had the opportunity to learn, every lesson matters.
