The Baklava was a hit with my dad, my neighbor, my hubby, and the ladies in my hubby's office! However, I'm my own worst critic, and I think I can do better. These same people can expect batch #2 in about 10 days!
The awesome thing about Baklava is that you can use any type of nut! These babies were about ⅔ walnut and ⅓ hazelnut.

Today I had the pleasure of making a wedding cake for only the second time!
The bride requested lemon cake, but had no other specifications, so I had free creative license!
