we’ve booked our recording time! on may 5, we will gaze into the dark waters and begin recording our first studio album, hydromancy. when jeffrey told me it was time to pick a date, i flipped open my calendar and went searching for the next full moon. may 5 offered not only that but a lunar eclipse and cinco de mayo (perfect for our honorary mexican wizard). the studio even offered us a 3:30 time slot, just to keep it all as magical as possible. 33 on 55.

now, we begin to prepare in earnest. the tax men who share our wall have closed their books for the year, which means the gongs and bowls will ring out loud and long. we’ve added a beautiful ocean drum to bring us a little closer to the water. and we’ll be traveling around the state gathering sounds from our favorite lakes, rivers, and streams, weaving the sounds of michigan’s beautiful waterways into this unique album. once we are done in the studio, the wizard’s wall of marvelous machines will add all the twists and turns we need to make this album unforgettable.

hydromancy will also become a guided sonic ritual hosted in our space at creacada. the ritual will offer an opportunity to look deep into the waters of the subconscious to draw out shadows, connect with a higher purpose, and explore the waters of the collective. we also plan to offer the album on handcrafted vinyl, featuring jeffrey’s amazing artwork.

we are beyond ecstatic to bring this experience together. we look forward to diving headfirst into the dark waters and we invite you to join us. stay tuned for more updates.

set afire the druid’s lights
in the forests and stone fields outside the villages and cities dwelled the ancient druids. these holy people were the healers, shamans, and magicians of roma, and while their movements and lifestyle were shrouded in mystery, the people needed only light a candle to summon them to their aid in times of trouble.
the oak tree was sacred to the druids. honor and welcome in the magick of these ancient practitioners when you light the deep-green candles and watch the flames dance upon the golden leaves and acorns.

❄️ gaze into the blue orb of eevan of the east! 🧙🏽‍♂️

eevan of the east occupied the north tower of queen frezeya’s glittering ice palace. situated at the peak of crystal mountain, the wizard’s tower overlooked the vast blackness of the shadow sea. long into each night a single silver candle would burn in the window, as eevan gazed for hours into his blue sphere, looking for a sign that the fire gatherers were returning from across the sea. in carts pulled by thundering steeds they would carry fire destined for distant firramar, but the flame bearers would need to pass through frezeya’s icy domain to buffer the mighty flames and protect roma’s precious aether. once he glimpsed them in his sphere, it would be mere moments before their mighty glow appeared in the black. eevan’s icy magic encapsulated the group, astride winged creatures half-equine, half-reptilian, a shimmering trail waving after them as they disappeared over the palace and on to the southwest. eevan’s likeness is said to inspire determination, loyalty, temperance, and magic wherever it goes.
