Megabooth Makers

Sometimes RenFair prep means restocking our popular medieval-esque pieces, other times it means accepting the gamble of bringing in a new item, and many times it's both! Pámela of Silver Pick Studios is tackling the pile of to-do tiny Indoodles while also trying out the Megabooth's shared custody of the button maker:

"This is the weekend of being very brave, might as throw in testing the waters on buttons while we're at it. I didn't decide to try training a p***y young horse all those years ago to NOT have that same energy with trying out new things. If things go south, I heard there's a pony going and ponies make everything better."

With less than a week to go to Lincoln Forest Renaissance Faire, we are toiling away at the many hand-crafted wares the Medieval Megabooth will house this upcoming weekend. Mel of is hard at work crocheting a multitude of plushies, keychains and other fiber goods to be available at her end of the booth:

"Ren Faire prep includes making mushrooms of all different sizes and colors"

Ruidoso calls for medieval vendors, and the Megabooth will answer! The Megabooth Makers taking up the quest to ride north for the Lincoln Forest Renaissance Faire in Ruidoso, New Mexico! We are very excited to embark on a road trip as normally, Mel & JM take their respective booths to a travel event, though this time they are joined by Pámela, marking it her first time braving the road. Renaissance fairs have been our favorite type of event to participate as a vendor in, and it's extra special to be traveling to one with all three makers in steel-horse caravan journey into New Mexico.

💫 Mel of is crocheting up a hoard of crochet creatures and companions.

🦄 Pámela of Silver Pick Studios is doodling a stampede of even more unicorns and other mythical horses.

🍄 JM of QMirageCrafts Needlefelts is ramping up print production with some medieval motifs on various paper spreads.

Will we see you in the great mountains of Ruidoso for the Lincoln Forest Renaissance Faire?!

The Megabooth Makers would like to thank all of the fellow artists, friends both near and far, business owners and market coordinators who have taken the time to check in on us; both through this page and our individual accounts. It has been a welcomed sentiment and knowing many others have been harmed by this ongoing behavior solidifes we made the correct decision. All we ask for now is that there is serious change to end this behavior, both online and in person.

As a reminder, we have no intention to bring back the
Uma Market nor host another event.

We’ve been working on getting back into the swing of things post-Uma Market and our own individual lives and will go back to weekly posting soon. Our focus now is on already booked events, and we hope to see you at any we are attending in El Paso, New Mexico and Arizona.

The Uma Market that was scheduled for this Sunday, April 12, 2026 has been cancelled.

We would like to apologize to our artists, our guests, Game Vault, and all of our excited attendees. The three of us worked extremely hard to make this market something fun. We spent hours planning, driving all around El Paso and Las Cruces to leave flyers advertising the market, making unique assets for advertising, and preparing fun activities/prizes for everyone. The one thing we did not plan for was for the cosplay community to use our market as a battleground for their personal issues. Ourselves, our artists, a majority of our guests, and our venue Game Vault were not involved in these issues, yet all of us are suffering the consequences of the actions taken by everyone involved in these issues.

This market was going to be our first venture into trying something new and making something fun for the community. This market was extremely special to us. All the hard work of everyone involved in this market will now have been for nothing because we were forced to cancel the market to protect all other parties not involved in the cosplayers’ personal issues.

As of now, this market is not going to be rescheduled nor do we, the Megabooth, have any plans to coordinate any other event.

In Post Position 8 of the Game Vault Derby starting gate is our creature-catching friends of El Paso TX Pokémon Go! They will be hosting free games and activites featuring your favorite horse-types, giving out artist-designed prizes to winners (while supplies last), all during the Uma Market. We look forward to having Malakai and the Pokémon Go crew out at Game Vault this Sunday for all things horse!

In Post Position 5 of the Game Vault Derby starting gate is the multi-media work of ! In addition to choreographing the Uma Fiesta concert, Ria is also bringing their Umamusume art on keychains, prints, stickers and some sewn surprises to the Uma Market. We'll be looking forward to hosting this new-to-the-vendor-scene artist at Game Vault this weekend!
