‘FACE IT’ - Mankala:

A loathsome sound pours over the hills, foul and fierce…

The beating of drums!

An ominous cloud gathers with the noise, neither bird nor storm…

But the deep, penetrating haze of… W**D!

IT’S MANKALA!

Like a pack of wolves, the quartet bites down!

Those scrambling drums are an outright choking hazard, so watch out ya’ll!

I mean, DAMN… That dry, ‘thin’ drum-tone peppering the gnarly, fuzz-coated riffing… whew.

Vocals crash the scene, imbued with all the vitriol of a live performance – impressive…

‘FACE IT’ ain’t for the weak, I’ll say that - blitzkrieg terror punctuated by churning breakdowns… (and the munchies, duh)… The song is well-paced, exhibiting a natural ebb-and-flow not so easily earned in the genre… Supported by three ‘pillar’ breakdowns (1:26; 2:04; 2:27) – the tune has some give, but most critically – a spine!

You might need to smoke a little somethin’ yourself by the end (I’m just saying)...
