This past week we worked with Stephanie Shaw, from Steph’s Property Services LLC a local contractor in S**o to do some excavation and structural work on a property in Portland. The house was built in the 50”s and the garage was built on the ground on some blocks and over the years the sill was rotted. So I was brought in to jack the building up reinforce and excavate the side and back and build a proper footing and frost wall. This was a cool job as Corbin is working with me and it was a great learning opportunity that many years ago my dad and my Uncle Keith taught me to do. Thursday we poured the concrete and Monday we will be helping Stephanie install new walls on new square concrete. So if you have rotted sills and your building is sagging you now know we can either lift the building and redo the lower section or do controlled close proximity demolition and remove the structure so one of our contractors like Stephanie can build you a new structure.

We are offering excavation and concrete services for garages, sheds and mobile homes. If your looking to build a structure with a footprint over 600sq foot we will be offering customers footings and frost wall construction as well. We can do septic tie in's along with hydraulic hammer services if your building happens to be on ledge or rocky terrain. We do not do construction and or GC work but we are partnered with a metal building supplier out of Scarborough and a builder in S**o which we can refer you to if interested if your not building yourself. Our goal is to help the home owner on this aspect of the build and specialize on this service. We are excited to offer our services to more clients in 2024. We are a family owned and operated excavation contractor serving 1 hour North and South of S**o Maine.

The other day we dug a small 30’ x 20’ x 6’ deep pond for a customer for his ducks and dog to play in and well over the weekend it filled looks nice. In the future the customer might make a little bigger to get the aggregate for fill. While digging we hit a spring and it was pumping water my guess with the walls lined with blue clay from area this pond will stay nice and full in the driest of summers. Customer is installing solar circulators keep water moving. If you need aggregate and you have the right soils a pond is a great way to get aggregate inexpensive while improving your property visually.

If anyone is looking for an early start we are scheduling out excavation and installation of footings and frost walls and concrete peer installs for pole barns. If smaller then 500 sq foot we are also doing slabs on grade for smaller structures. We are scheduling projects daily and we do not have delays as of today due to frost conditions or weather so if you have any excavation or forestry mulching needs give us a call.
