Affiliate & Advocate Spotlight - July 2026 During 7 Days in DC, we were reminded that the strength of Move to Amend has always been the incredible community of affiliates, advocates, volunteers, and allies who give their time, talents, and hearts to this work.

The time is right to build support in the Senate.

Momentum in the House continues to grow with 78 cosponsors, and during our week in Washington we met with the offices of Senator Elizabeth Warren (MA), Senator Jon Ossoff (GA), and Senator Tim Kaine (VA) to discuss introducing a Senate companion to the We the People Amendment. We believe the time is right. If you live in Massachusetts, Georgia, or Virginia, now is an especially important time to contact your Senator's office, thank them for meeting with Move to Amend, and request a constituent meeting to encourage them to champion the We the People Amendment in the Senate.

Here's how you can help this week:

Help us find a lead Senate sponsor.
Do you have a Senator who has consistently stood up against the influence of big money in politics or corporate power? If you believe they would be a strong champion for the We the People Amendment, we'd love to work with you. Reach out to their office and request a meeting—either in person during congressional recess or over Zoom—and let us know. We'll provide talking points, materials, and support every step of the way.

Ask your Representative to cosponsor H.J.Res. 54.
If your Representative hasn't yet signed on, now is the perfect time to call to as them to become a cosponsor. Every new cosponsor strengthens the case for introducing a companion amendment in the Senate.
