One of my goals this year has been creating more original flash designs, and it's always exciting when someone connects with one enough to wear it forever.

Recently I got to tattoo two of my flash pieces—a whimsical stained-glass inspired lunar moth and this adorable little snail carrying a skull for a shell with tiny mushrooms growing from it. 🦋🐌💀🍄

The snail was one of those designs that made me smile the moment I found the inspiration for it, and I knew I wanted to put my own spin on it. Seeing it come to life on skin was even better.

This Mother's Day piece started as a walk-in request and a heartfelt vision. My client knew the elements they wanted to include from a Pinterest post—a heartbeat line, a meaningful date, a lily, and "Mom" written in red—but needed help bringing everything together into a cohesive design.

I'll admit, technology gave me a hand on this one. By using detailed prompts, I was able to quickly explore layouts and refine the concept until it matched exactly what my client had envisioned. From there, I added the color choices, composition, and my own artistic touch to create the final tattoo.

At the end of the day, tools don't replace the artist—they help us communicate, collaborate, and sometimes find the perfect starting point. What matters most is creating something meaningful for the person wearing it.

One of my favorite milestones as an artist happened recently—I got to tattoo my niece for her first "grown-up" tattoo. ❤️

Not only had she just graduated high school, but it was also her 18th birthday. That's a pretty special combination of milestones, and I was honored that she trusted me to create something meaningful to mark the occasion.
