Extreme heat is here—take steps to stay safe.

High temperatures can be dangerous for everyone, especially older adults, young children, people with chronic health conditions, and those who work or exercise outdoors.

Beat the heat!
- Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
- Stay in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible.
- Check on older neighbors, friends, and family members.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
- Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (10am-4pm).
- Never leave people or pets in cars—not even for a minute.

Watch for heat-related illness: heavy sweating, nausea, headache, or fast pulse. If someone experiences confusion, loses consciousness, or has a body temperature above 103°F, call 911 immediately.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe!
