It took until past midnight, but we just passed my bipartisan bill to beef up the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit!

I’m glad the budget deal we struck at the Capitol will provide some one-time property tax cuts for Minnesotans. I’m also still working on other legislation to tackle the root causes of these high property taxes and provide a long-term fix.

At the start of session, I committed to my neighbors in manufactured housing to pursue every avenue to pass the bipartisan Manufactured Home Park Resident Bill of Rights. The final chance this session was last night when my fellow chief author in the Senate author tried to add it to the Housing Bill in conference committee. Unfortunately, the House GOP blocked it once again. However, I will not give up, even if it means trying again next year.
