Minnesota, the Republic of Vietnam Veterans and the Vietnamese Minnesotan Museum, I am respectfully invite you to join us in commemorating Black April 2026, a day of remembrance, reflection, and unity for the Vietnamese community and all who honor the journey toward freedom.

This gathering marks the 51st anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, a significant moment in history that shaped the lives of many Vietnamese Americans. Together, we will honor those who sacrificed, remember the past, and celebrate the resilience and contributions of our community.

We welcome community members, families, leaders, and friends from all backgrounds to stand together in remembrance and solidarity.

Veterans Day on the Hill is Minnesota’s largest annual veterans advocacy event, hosted by the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force (MNCTF)—a united coalition of nine leading veterans service organizations.Each spring, hundreds gather in St. Paul to:

Rally in the Capitol Rotunda
March together to demonstrate our collective strength
Meet directly with state legislators and lawmakers
Advocate for critical issues affecting Minnesota’s veterans and military families
Key priorities often include:

Full funding and passage of the Veterans and Military Omnibus Bill
Addressing veterans’ homelessness and housing needs
Expanding access to mental health and su***de prevention resources
Protecting veterans from predatory “claim sharks”
Securing property tax exclusions and other benefits
Supporting county veterans service officers and statewide programs
