Join MHC in a vibrant corridor of Somali owned businesses, cultural institutions, and public art that reflect the community’s resilience, cultural pride, and contributions to Minnesota. Experience and explore art, fashion, food, markets, and meaningful traditions that contribute to and nurture Somali identity and belonging.

This experience is curated by Yusra Mohamud, a longtime connector within South Minneapolis’s East African community.

K-12 Educators will receive 3 clock hours upon completion of the event.

We invite you to join us at the Red Wing Public Library on July 16 for Sketches of Minnesota, a unique statewide initiative that brings communities together through conversation, storytelling, and improvisational comedy!

From 5–8:30 pm, participants will enjoy a complimentary dinner provided by Fiesta Mexicana before joining a facilitated conversation about what makes Red Wing special - the good, the quirky, the memorable, and even the challenges that continue to shape the community.
