Clarence Sutton Memorial Golf Tournament Fundraiser

Join Proceed for the Clarence Sutton Memorial Golf Tournament Fundraiser on June 6th at Goodrich Golf Course in Maplewood, Minnesota. This annual event brings the community together to support educational opportunities, mentorship, leadership development, and HBCU college experiences for youth.

More than just a golf tournament, this fundraiser helps students gain access to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), scholarships, college tours, and life-changing opportunities that inspire the next generation of leaders.

Funds raised from this event directly support the Proceed HBCU College Tour, where students travel to universities across the country to experience college life, connect with campus communities, and expand their vision for the future.

This dynamic class introduces youth to the powerful culture and influence of hip-hop while helping them develop their own voice through music and storytelling. Students will explore hip-hop history while gaining hands-on experience in songwriting, performance, and artist development.

Led by Chadwick “Niles” Phillips, this program creates a creative space where young people can build confidence, express themselves, and learn the foundations of music creation in a supportive environment.

Participants will learn how to write lyrics, develop songs, perform with confidence, and understand the artistry behind hip-hop culture.

Family Movie Night

PROCEED invites families and community members to join us for a special Family Movie Night designed to bring people together through history, reflection, and community connection.

The evening will begin with a message from Rev. Earl Miller, followed by a screening of the powerful film Selma, which highlights the courage, leadership, and perseverance that shaped the Civil Rights Movement. This event offers a meaningful opportunity for families and community members to learn, reflect, and engage in conversations that continue to shape our communities today.
