Update on little Phoenix!

This is one of the sweet babies that the Ferguson Fire Department contacted us about. We are happy to report that this little girl is doing wonderfully! She is healthy, happy, and growing into such a beautiful kitten. When Phoenix and her sister Ashley arrived, we were hopeful for both of them. Sadly, we lost Ashley shortly after their arrival, and our hearts broke for this tiny little family. 💔

The good news is Phoenix has continued to do well, and after completing her quarantine period, she has now become housemates with Grogu! These two little ones seem to really enjoy having a buddy around, and it has been so sweet watching them keep each other company. We’ll be sharing more updates about these two cuties, so keep an eye on their stories!

Everyone meet Grogu!

This little guy came to us after being relinquished because of a deformity in his legs. When he arrived, we quickly discovered that his journey was a little more complicated than we first realized. Grogu also has an overbite and a condition called pectus excavatum.
Pectus excavatum is a condition where the breastbone (sternum) grows inward, creating a dip or “sunken” appearance in the chest. In some cases, it can be mild and cause no issues, but in growing kittens it’s something that needs to be monitored closely because, as their bodies grow, the chest shape can potentially affect the heart, lungs, or their ability to breathe and thrive. Right now, we are thankful that Grogu has not shown any complications, but his growth and development will need to be watched carefully in the coming weeks.
Thanks to the love, dedication, and experience of his amazing foster, this little guy is making incredible progress! His legs are already starting to straighten out with the help of physical therapy, and he continues to show us just how strong and determined he is.
And one thing is for sure… Grogu is absolutely adorable and has the biggest love for his bottle!

We have a wonderful update on Steele and his foster sisters, Heart, Club, and Spade!
These sweet kittens are all doing very well and growing like they should.
We did have a bit of a scare with little Spade when she suddenly stopped eating and became very weak and lethargic. Thankfully, her amazing foster mom noticed right away and jumped into action, brought her to our wonderful vet and started giving her the extra TLC, support, and nursing care she needed. We are so grateful for her dedication because Spade was able to overcome whatever was going on and is now doing much better. 💕
All four kittens are continuing to thrive, getting bigger, stronger, and closer to being ready for their next adventure. They will be available for adoption soon through one of our wonderful adoption partners!
