One more really warm day, and then a cool front arrives Monday afternoon!

This front may trigger a few thunderstorms as it moves southeast, with the favored areas in far southeastern South Dakota and into Northwest Iowa and far southern Minnesota after 5pm.

The storm risk will stay fairly short lived, but be prepared if the skies begin to change.

** THIS POST CONTAINS OUTDATED INFORMATION **

The threat for severe weather has trended farther south, but strong to severe storms remain possible this evening with the greatest threat mainly near and south of Highway 20. Make sure to keep an eye to the sky and be prepared to get inside if you have any outdoor activities planned this evening!

ATTENTION: The Sioux Falls weather radar will be offline for up to 1 week beginning Wednesday, June 24th for replacement of the radar dome panels and repainting of the dome.

This outage cannot be postponed for severe weather, and once offline, the radar cannot be returned to service until this work is completed.

Radar data can still be accessed by surrounding radars at Aberdeen (KABR), Des Moines (KDMX), Rapid City (KUDX), North Platte (KLNX), Chanhassen (KMPX), and Omaha (KOAX).

We apologize for any disruption this may cause.
