Planning a Memorial Day gathering? Here's a Pickle Cole Slaw recipe published in the Salem Observer on May 21, 1969.

Pickle Cole Slaw
(Makes 6 to 8 servings)

Mix together:
6 cups finely chopped cabbage
1 cup shredded carrot
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped sweet fresh cucumber pickles
2 tablespoons sweet pickle liquid
1 tablespoon grated onion
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
Garnish with pickle fan
