Today, we'd like to recognize an educator who has made a lasting impact on generations of students.π
For the past 11 years, Stacy Kilgroe has helped lead the Titan Branch, a student-run Maps branch located on the West Salem campus. Through the program, students gain hands-on experience providing banking services to their peers and staff while developing valuable professional, customer service, and financial skills. Many student branch participants even go on to internships and employment opportunities with Maps and other local financial institutions.
As Principal Carlos Ruiz shared, Ms. Kilgroe "empowers students with skills, confidence, and experiences that extend far beyond the classroom."π₯Ή
Anyone who has worked with Stacy knows how true that is.
So, thank you, Stacy.π It is an honor to work alongside you. Your dedication to your students and passion for financial education are changing lives every day.πββοΈ

On Wednesday, the Maps Community Foundation hosted a networking event at Liberty Theater in Astoria. We had a wonderful time welcoming nonprofit leaders, community partners, and organizations from across the North Coast to learn more about the Foundation and our community giving programs.π Thank you to our Astoria and Seaside teams for their enthusiasm, support, and community connections, and to everyone who took the time to attend. We're looking forward to the partnerships, conversations, and opportunities that grow from evenings like this. We'd also like to like to extend send a special thank-you to Ft. George Brewing and Clatsop Distributing for our beer and wine, Gaetano's for the excellent catering, and Chris, Jennifer, and Joey from the Liberty Theater for helping us bring the community together in such a beautiful, memorable setting!π₯Ή

The June American Red Cross blood drive may be over, but its impact is just beginning. β€οΈ Hosting regular blood drives is one of the many ways Maps employees put their commitment to community into action. It's a simple act that can have an extraordinary impact.π₯Ή Thanks to everyone who donated, and an extra-big thanks to Alex M. from our Investment team, who helped coordinate such a successful event!π
πMeet our 2026 Maps Scholarship recipients!π
This year, the Maps Community Foundation awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships to 28 outstanding students pursuing a wide range of educational and career goals.
We're proud to support these students and excited to see where their hard work, talents, and ambitions take them next. Now that all the big checks have been delivered, please join us in congratulating this year's recipients!ππ
At Maps, giving back is a part of who we are. π
From schools and nonprofits to community events and local programs, our employees give their time, energy, and hearts to the communities we serve.
So, we asked a few of our most active volunteers to complete one simple sentence:
βI volunteer becauseβ¦β
Hereβs what they had to say.
When we sponsored last weekend's Awesome 3000 event, Bart (aka, The Maps Guy) asked a bunch of kids for their opinions on how adults spend money β¦ and they did NOT hold back. π (Can you spot a cameo appearance by Andrea from our High Street branch?) π
