Over the past few weeks, a few of our team members had the awesome opportunity to visit three of our amazing sponsors and showcase our competition robot!
Thanks to the generosity of Foster Foundation, Framatome North America, and Electronic Design & Manufacturing for allowing students to not only build a robot and compete, but also cultivate connections in our community.
Your belief in us fuels our passion, expands our possibilities, and helps us dream even bigger each season. We’re honored to represent such dedicated partners!

While watching an FRC livestream, we spotted Team 7475 from Ontario, and we couldn’t believe our eyes—your robot looks just like ours! 🔥 Scissor lifts, similar designs… are we long-lost robot twins?!
We would love to connect and chat about our builds! Hit us up!

To celebrate Engineering Week in February, two of our robotics teammates attended a banquet at Sweet Briar College. At the event, we got to share what FRC is and tell people about our team. We enjoyed talking with many people about Vector Space and our robotics team, and listened to an inspirational speech about the ups and downs of engineering that lead to an exciting end product: NASA's Europa Clipper Mission. We were able to talk with the Project Manager of NASA’s recent mission to Europa, Jordan Evans. This was an amazing event and it was an honor to represent our team while sharing FIRST Robotics Competition with more people 🪐 FIRST Chesapeake

Team 10257 is beginning to spread our roots! We are excited to announce that we’ll be partnering with local schools including James River Day School and RS Payne Lynchburg City Schools to mentor their FIRST LEGO League and VEX Robotics teams! These after school programs give elementary and middle school students an opportunity to create and compete alongside thousands of teams worldwide in annual competitions. Our team is currently organizing more outreach events in cooperation with other schools so we’ll keep you posted!

With the drivetrain of the robot fully wired and ready to go, we were able to start practicing driving the base of the robot in order to practice for the teleop period of the competition! Since we are yet to attach our scissor lift, we aren’t able to practice any tasks yet involving the coral or algae. But we are still able to practice driving the chassis, so this video shows some of our team members driving the robot for the first time last week.
