What an incredible night at the Oregon Hunters Association Annual Banquet & Auction in Coquille! Over 600 fellow Oregonians came together — people of all ages — to raise funds and celebrate something I'm deeply proud to support: responsible hunting and wildlife conservation.
The auction was a tremendous success, and the energy in that room reminded me exactly why I fight for Oregon's outdoor heritage in Salem. The OHA is doing vital work — advocating for sustainable hunting practices, protecting our habitats, educating the next generation, and keeping our hunting rights strong. To every hunter, conservationist, and community member who showed up: thank you. This is Oregon at its best. 🦅🌲

I hope you’ll join me tonight for a virtual town hall with Douglas County Commissioner Tim Freeman.
We’ll be talking about what’s happening in Salem, local economic concerns, and the challenges facing communities across Southwest Oregon. I’ll also share where I’m pushing back on policies that impact rural Oregon.
There will be time for your questions, and your input matters.
There’s still time to register and be part of the conversation:

Join Me for a Curry County Virtual Town Hall
Tuesday, March 24 | 6:00 – 7:00 PM
I’ll be joined by Curry County Commissioner Lynn Coker for a virtual town hall focused on the issues impacting Curry County.
Curry County Commissioner Lynn Coker has been a very committed public servant, and we’re lucky to have his excellent contributions. His corporate and business background is precisely what my home county needs right now. I look forward to him joining our March 24th town hall and taking questions from concerned Curry citizens.
We’ll be discussing economic development, halting offshore wind energy development, natural resource management, public safety, and investments that impact Curry County’s quality of life. We’ll also talk through the economic challenges facing our communities and how county government is working to deliver essential services effectively and efficiently.

Senator Brock Smith and I recently spent an evening at Umpqua Community College celebrating the opening of their new Advanced Manufacturing & Forestry Hub.
It was great to join my friend Dave Larecy, Director of Con-Vey, along with UCC President Dr. Rachel Pokrandt and many community leaders for this important milestone.
Seeing so many young people excited about careers in advanced manufacturing and forestry was truly inspiring. These programs are critical to the future of our workforce and our regional economy.
And yes — the “robots galore” demonstration was definitely a highlight of the evening.
Investing in hands-on technical education like this is how we keep Oregon competitive and create real opportunities for the next generation.
