We are advancing community health through comprehensive pediatric asthma care. The Salinas Valley Health Asthma Camp returns July 20–24, 2026. This annual program is designed for children ages 6–12 with asthma and requires a physician referral for participation. There is a $10 registration fee. Meet Melissa! 💛

We are so thrilled to introduce Melissa, our Director of Strategic Development and a true cornerstone of the Salinas Valley Health Foundation family, with 18 years of dedicated service!

Melissa's connection to this community runs deep. Born and raised in Salinas, she was actually born right here at what once was Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. It doesn't get more full circle than that! 🩷

"I come to work every day knowing that I get to spend my time doing something that makes a difference for others," Melissa shares. "My favorite part is getting to interact with patients and families who have benefited from the work that we do."

And with that kind of heart driving her every day, it's easy to see why she's been such an invaluable part of our team.

Fun Fact: She has an impressive collection of pens and writing supplies. Japanese notebooks and pens are her absolute favorite!
Favorite Things to Do: Crafting, baking, and line dancing with her daughters. Yes, line dancing, and we think that's absolutely wonderful!
