Monterey County Ballet

The Sugar Plum Fairy introduces Clara to a variety of sweets in her kingdom. One of the dances features Arabian Coffee. Monterey County Ballet would like to introduce you to our Arabian lead for Nutcracker 2025, Amanda! Amanda is 17 and one of our graduating seniors. She has been dancing for 14 years and told me she likes to dance because, “ it is a form of expression unlike no other, and the people I have met through dance have become some of my best friends.” Outside of dance Amanda is involved in track and field and more specifically pole vaulting. She actually holds several records and awards through pole vaulting. Amanda is also a Scholar Athlete and has over 300 community service hours. Amand is interested in a career in kinesiology. She has been accepted into CSU Chico, and Fullerton and is waiting to hear back from Cal Poly Humboldt and San Diego State. You can come see Amanda in the Arabian Coffee dance in this year’s Nutcracker Ballet. Performances will be held at Sherwood Hall in Salinas November 29th at 2:00 and 7:00, and November 30th at 2:00.
