Today, I Rise Inc completed drop-offs for our annual Adopt-A-Family initiative. While we do not share photos of the families we serve, as dignity and respect are part of our vision, we are grateful to show a glimpse of the love through some of the gifts and essentials provided. We were also able to bless one family with a holiday meal. Serving communities is at the core of who we are, and we are honored to impact families across our Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania chapters, with continued expansion ahead. A sincere thank you to the Safe Place Sisterhood members, our CEO husband, his cousins, and above all, God, for making this possible.

I Rise Inc. Holiday Outreach

Hello everyone 💛

Most people don’t know this, but for the last 7 years, I’ve had the privilege—along with my non-profit I Rise Inc.—to quietly adopt a family for the holidays. No posts, no pictures, no requests for help… just serving from the heart.

Today in conversation someone said to me, “People can help take the load off you, but they need to know what you do.” And that sat with me. So this year, for the first time, I’m sharing our outreach.

This year, I Rise Inc., along with my Safe Place Sisterhood ladies, has adopted a family that is walking through a heartbreaking transition. A mother lost her battle with addiction, and her sister has now taken in her children—on top of her own. In total, we are blessing six children and one to two adults.

There will be no photos or exposure of the family unless they request it. I believe in protecting people’s dignity, especially during vulnerable seasons.
